Now they must hunt the fierce killer and destroy it… before there is no one left to stop its reign of terror! ****May contain spoilers****<br/><br/>This is the kind of movie that makes one wonder whether it was a joke or not. I seriously hope it was, otherwise I pity the director. But take my word for it: it is hilarious. As many have pointed out, nothing makes sense.<br/><br/>First of all, although the shark is supposed to be a long-thought to be extinct variety, it simply looks like a HUGE white shark. In no way can you see what is so prehistoric about it-apart from its size and even that seems to shift. And this is because it actually IS a white shark, footage taken from the discovery channel, most likely.<br/><br/>The action is set in Mexico but everyone speaks English, the acting is appalling and scary at times, and the plot holes are too many to mention. <br/><br/>No one can explain why the very-rich decide to jump over boardthe boat is clearly not sinking, especially taking into consideration that there is a huge shark hunting the waters. Also, the mini sub looks way too big on the inside. <br/><br/>But the best part is when the mother shark eats the boat. I lost track of how many times I watched that scene. And, to my delight, it was repeated a few frames later, the same scene exactly, thus showing how innovative it truly was. <br/><br/>I hope they make a sequel and make the shark bigger :P This is purportedly the sequel to what I must assume were equally vile predecessors, but it needs little introduction. There&#39;s a killer Megalodon, a prehistoric shark that happens to look exactly like a conventional shark. It&#39;s haunting a beach area while being pursued by a couple of talent impaired actors that spend most of their screen time screaming. The script borrows so liberally from JAWS that you&#39;d swear this was conceived by a couple of crafts service people who had worked on the original. If anyone ever doubted the genius of Spielberg, watch five minutes of this turkey and you&#39;ll be convinced.<br/><br/>SHARK ATTACK 3 is bad. Really bad. So bad that I couldn&#39;t sit through the entire picture (and I&#39;ve made a habit of reveling in low-budget trash). Watch the prolonged sequence involving a para-sailor whose boats is attacked by the wicked beastie and you&#39;ll know exactly what to expect of the rest of it. Variations on the same three shots must have appeared 30 times in this sequence. <br/><br/>Truly horrific. I&#39;m giving it one star for the shark&#39;s fake fin, easily the funniest prop I&#39;ve seen in ages. You could actually see the creases in it. Nothing like the sole prop in your feature being shoddily put together. It&#39;s a sure sign of class.
